Piece of MY Heart

I'm learning to give a little bit of my heart away. I'm focusing on the strengths of others and choosing to see their higher self. I'm complimenting others and letting them know how great they are and how loved they are. I don't hold back and I don't worry about my heart running out. I am whole and there is always enough love to be given out. It never runs out.

To you reading this, here's my message to you: YOU are divinely good. YOU  are strong and loved far beyond your comprehension. YOU are of divine worth, because YOU are a son/daughter of God. He deeply loves YOU and oh how I wish YOU could fully taste His love. He supports YOU and blesses YOU, because He loves you. I believe that God has a plan for only YOU. YOU can do hard things. YOU can change. YOU radiate the light of Christ, even when you may feel like you don't. I love YOU.

Divine Glow

There was a time when I did not feel worthy to enter His house. It felt like the light that I once had just didn't glow anymore. So I nurtured my spirit and focused on wholeness. The light within me began to glow more each day as I recited the mantra: I radiate the light of Christ!

I imagined this light surging through me and I began to truly believe that I radiated this light. In the midst of darkness, I radiated light. Much like this picture I took on Valentine's Day. I radiate the light of Christ! I exude this light in a world filled with darkness. It fulfills my soul and fills me with light and joy.

Becoming (Part Seven)

Coming clean with myself has been one of the most empowering things I've ever done. Allowing myself to heal and cleansing myself off all the junk that has been holding me back. Consistent mediation, prayer, and scripture study has been my staple. I'm becoming a better woman. I'm spiritually empowered, emotionally stable,  and mentally healthy. I can feel warmth. I can see the goodness of God in the details of my life. It's a process and it's working. I'm becoming my best self. I'm becoming in touch with my higher self. I'm filling myself with good things and that has helped me stay focused. In order to fulfill God's will, I needed to cleanse my inner vessel. It's worth it. God's love and goodness flows through me more and more.

I'm becoming and it's beautiful. I am beautiful.

Love Letters #11

"I knew when I was ready that I would begin to feel a shift. I wasn't picturing a big wave of emotion, just a calmness. A nice push in the right direction and here I am. Cleansing my inner vessel day by day. Loving myself more and of course loving God more. Being more obedient to Him. All of this, because I love you. Praying for you that your heart and mind will be open to God. Pushing forward, even when doubt and past pain beg me to stop. The peace is so empowering. I'm ready to open my up my heart again. Regardless of what may come, I am ready to open it up. A little at a time, of course. This shift inside me gives me all the feels, but joy tops them all. I can breathe better."

Heart & Mind

Whew. Being sick has opened a lot of time to think. And I mean not even an escape to Stars Hallow or Green Gables could distract me. I've been praying for an open heart and mind for a while now. Meditation has been my key to that door. Ridding myself of my frail natural tendencies and imprinting self-love and peace. I feel more connected with my God. I feel more connected with higher self. It has calmed me during times where anxiety would storm.

Personal Revelation has been flowing so sweetly and flawlessly. It's been intense, but gosh, so wonderful! Having a glimpse of where I need to be and adjusting my course to follow suit has been so much easier. I truly believe that God's plan is perfectly set before us.

My mind will storm at times and I can feel my heart working double time to calm my mind. The heart knows best, because it feels peace. My mind constantly asks, "What if I'm wrong?" My heart will say, "God has it figured out. Let's keep trusting Him and His peace." My mind calms down and then the two are unified. More personal revelations flows and I feel more enlightened.

Truth is fortifying. The more we seek for truth, the more enlightened we become. My desire for truth has slowly been satisfying and fulfilling. When my my heart and mind are open and connected, I find myself strengthened in many ways. I feel steady on my path even though I cannot see it at times.

It's not the worst. All good things.

Repurposed

I remember vividly the day the Provo Tabernacle burned. I cried. I've had memories of going there. I remember seeing people standing outside watching it in flames and tears in their eyes. How could God let something so devastating happen to such a historic building that served many people through the years?

President Monson calmed the storm when he announced that it would be made as the second Temple in Provo. My heart soared. God wasn't just rebuilding a historic building. He was rebuilding it to be a holy and pure building. It was going to become His house. Wow.This last Sunday this beautiful building was dedicated as the House of the Lord. It was a beautiful ceremony. More than 600 buildings in Utah were set apart for this momentous occasion. Being able to attend along with hundreds of other people was incredible.

Friends, we all can be made holy and pure. We can achieve perfection. We can endure hard trials that refine us into better people. Just like this temple, we can change. God knows you. He knows who you can become and He will help you. Through the atonement of Jesus Christ we can change. Countless people in the scriptures and in these modern days can attest to this. We all can be changed through Christ. His purpose was to help you. You were worth it.

So when you feel like your burning inside. When you don't feel like you can handle your trials. I stand with you. I currently feel that. But don't jump ship! Everything will be okay, because God loves you. Your Savior, Jesus Christ loves you. God has a better plan for you. You're being refined. I'm being refined. Hold on thy way and know that you'll be okay. God has a purpose for you. Just like He had a better purpose for the tabernacle that would serve His children far better.

Remember it's not the worst. Jesus loves you, my dear friends. God loves you! Happy Wednesday!

I don't hate him

...but I don't like him. And if I'm going to point out the obvious, then I'm just gonna going to say it without holding back.

Satan is mean.

He's so mean. Mean enough to make me cry. And the issue is, no matter how mean he gets, I have found myself lately letting him be mean to me. I listen to his lies, because through his lies, I perceive bits of them as truth. And that's a no-no!

So last Thursday, I picked at my Chinese takeout, because I was feeling gloomy. Which was super annoying, because when you're with good company, there's not time for gloom! Ain't no time for that! But Satan was just whispering his little lies and I was just so fed up that I asked a friend for a blessing. Then Satan left me alone and I could breathe and it felt good.

Satan is mean. And I let him treat me thus! But no more. I will be working on filling myself more with light and love. Daily affirmations will resume and take place along with Meditation. And of course you've got to have daily scripture study and prayer. It's really the little things, you guys.

Satan, you have no power over me! Not today! Not this week! Here's to a fresh week, my dears! Don't let Satan have you, because he's just a jerk! Fill yourself with light and then go and share with the world. You can make a difference in this world!

Filled with Light and Love

I told you how meditation has become my new thing. I'm still navigating my way through it with the (little) knowledge of how to do it. It's...it's a process, but I believe it's working. I start off by envisioning God's light and love pouring down and filling me up. Literally. I literally envision a bucket of God's light and love being poured over my head. And maybe it's just my imagination, but I have a warm feeling each time I do it.

I want to be filled with God's light and love, because it sustains me. I want to be able to share that light and love with whoever I come in contact with that day. Roommates, friends, family, clients, co-workers--ANYONE! I believe people gravitate towards people who are of light. I know this is how I am, especially when I'm not feeling up to par. I always feel good around people who are happy and kind. And you can see it in their eyes and the way they speak. I believe that when you fill yourself with God's light and love, you will be able to make a difference. People will want to be around you, because they see God's glow within you.

And let's not forget about love. I'm a believer in the power of God's love! His love is both satisfying and fulfilling! And I could tell you all the reasons why it's so great, but you'll only really know, if you ask to feel His love. I promise you will you know and feel it!

You readers may think that I don't think about you, but I do. And if I'm going to be honest, I pray for you and send God's light and love to you every day! May God watch over you on this beautiful Wednesday!

Fall brings change

Can I just tell you how beautiful the leaves are right now? I had the pleasure of venturing up the canyon with some dear friends one Sunday afternoon. The view was spectacular! I love fall! The change has been breathtaking.
I was walking to work and noticed how much more vibrant the mountains looked. I then had a thought that has been simmering on my mind all day. I had been thinking about the changes that I am going through in my life and thought it was ironic that this was going on during the same time as the seasonal change.
This really got me thinking that change is a byproduct of the atonement of Jesus Christ. One cannot truly use the atonement in their life and not change.

Change [cheynj]: To Transform or Convert (source)

It's that conversion process that transforms one to be a better person than they were before. I then started thinking about my conversion story. It's not this grand story--not yet anyways. It's happening right now. I'm still in the beginning stages. What I've learned remembered, is that the atonement is real. I don't know or understand every little detail that it entails, but gradual process has been bringing light into my life. That's just a beginning.

I have a love for President James E. Faust who said:
"If we will turn to the Lord and believe on His name, we can change. He will give us the power to change our lives, the power to put away bad thoughts and feelings from our hearts. We can be taken from “the darkest abyss” to “behold the marvelous light of God” -The Power to Change (source)
Wow! No wonder Jesus Christ holds the title 'Savior'. It's fitting, isn't it? This change brings light. Light brings joy. Not only that, but how cool is it that we have the ability to change ourselves? With His divine help, we can change. I've struggled wrapping my mind around this lately, just because I am impatient and want immediate results. However, that hasn't stopped me from giving up. I have hope that I'll one day reap the reward of being who God wants me to become. I believe that will change me for the better.

What's your conversion story? Are you going through it just like me? Are you seeing changes being made into your life? Are you struggling through it? Do you feel like you've been tested to your limits? If this is you, the my message is to you (as well as myself):

And as Elder Jeffrey R. Holland firmly put it:
"DON'T YOU GIVE UP! DON'T YOU QUIT! You keep walking. You keep trying. There is happiness and help ahead...It will be all right in the end. TRUST GOD and believe in good things to come!" -Good Things to Come (Source)
